John, Well, at this point I have no reason not to trust Jackson... He could have given an appearance of being a bit more even-handed in the Court. But he appears to be trying to get the parties to come to an agreement without the necessity of continued judicial oversight -- which is what I would expect of a reasonably decent, conservative judge. If he ends up like the last judge in an anti-trust case (AT&T), and wants to come back years later to manipulate and micro-manage, well , my respect would drop faster than a lead airplane.
