<<The 20% foreign content rule>> If those in Canada are not Free to invest here, why should an American want to invest there? Are there like restrictions on investments outside the "IRA"'s? Here in the US, "they" are sharper than that. If "they" want to restrict how we can invest our funds, things are simply structured in such a way as to make it very near impossible, so we at last, simply give up. This way we technicly have the freedom, but in effect, there is or no way to exercise that freedom. IE, we are "allowed" to invest in gold, but most of us have no vehicle avail. to do so, with the greatest part of our funds.
