Go2Net Introduces Real-Time Quotes, Additional Enhancements For Silicon Investor
SEATTLE, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Go2Net, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNET - news), a network of branded, technology- and community-driven Web sites ( go2net.com ), today introduced a series of features developed to enhance Silicon Investor ( siliconinvestor.com ), the Web's premier financial discussion and information site. Effective immediately, Silicon Investor now offers its users:
-- Free Real-Time Quotes: Developed in collaboration with FreeRealTime.com (OTC Bulletin Board: FRTIE - news), this co-branded area of Silicon Investor provides Silicon Investor's more than 200,000 registered members with real-time stock quotes, accompanied by the bid and ask, trading volume, current high and low prices, number and average size of trades, as well as the historical 52-week high and low prices. It is available in an easy-to-use pop-up window and is accessible throughout the site. -- Ignore User: This feature empowers individual registered members to disregard messages posted by individually selected users whom they elect to ignore. Unlike other similar offerings on the Web, Silicon Investor's Ignore User feature also allows users to disregard messages written to those 'ignored' members. -- Stock Screener: This enables registered Silicon Investor users to scan and select stocks based on specifically selected technical criteria, including all indicators available on Silicon Investor's advanced charting area. For example, users could apply this feature to find all stocks trading within 10 percent of their 200-day moving average price, or to find Nasdaq companies within a specified range of their 6-month high prices. -- Charting Customization: Silicon Investor members can now apply a new set of feature-rich tools to customize their individual investment charts and save the templates for future use, based on a series of technical indicators and trading data.
''Silicon Investor's latest enhancements are the combined product of continuous feedback from our users, and our determination to offer a unified set of personal finance discussion forums, portfolio tracking tools and original editorial content that cannot be matched,'' said Bryan Burdick, Go2Net vice president and managing director of Silicon Investor. ''We intend to more aggressively add new features to extend Silicon Investor's position as the Internet's most comprehensive destination in the category of personal finance and investing.''
