Have you ever seen the movie The Eighth Day? It is wonderful. Very few people I have talked to have seen it. It is about life, and meaning, and it IS sad, but in a life affirming kind of way. I thought it had a happy ending. It has a Christ figure in it (imo) and you KNOW what happens to them. I loved it. It reminded me a bit of Ponette- which I also love. I can watch that one over even though it is sad because the message is not sad.
