last rumors, a few weeks ago, were that MOT refuses to buy asic's. I don't think MOT's arrogance will allow it to make long term chip deal. Things could have changed in the last few weeks with the latest news, re HDR, etc. Thre is the lawsuit to settle, of course, which complicates or gives incentive for deal with MOT and puts pressure on MOT about potential loss of license; lawsuit mostly being used as pressure by MOT. MOT might want closer relationship because of new developments, want in on the party.

Most MOT handsets still look they were designed for the U.S. Army, almost as bad as most Ericsson boxes. NOK still better deal because of Europe.
