BGambler: Nothing wrong with being a little of both. When I get the short term pop, I'm out. Often hold a stock only long enough to enter a sell order. Ex. BWEB, VERT this am. That INTC news was a trading gift!
On the other hand, when it doesn't work out, I have to decide whether I want to hold long term and average down, or take the loss and move on. Often I am able to day trade my average cost down to a reasonable level. Don't have a full position in MDR thank goodness, so I'm patiently waiting, and waiting, and waiting.....
