I ran across the following in yesterday's WSJ (on-line): November 11, 1999 Dow Jones Newswires Smartdisk, Sandisk Develop Adapter For Flash Data Card NAPLES, Fla. -- Smartdisk Corp. (SMDK) and Sandisk Corp. (SNDK) developed a floppy disk adapter to use with Sandisk's MultiMediaCard removable flash data storage card. In a press release Thursday, Smartdisk said Sandisk will offer the FlashPath adapters globally with an initial delivery order scheduled for the first quarter. Flashpath lets users transfer data, images and Internet music between a floppy disk drive and the data-storage cards. Sandisk makes digital imaging and storage products.
