Something to ponder: Let the stocks you are in, tell you what is happening, not "market". What is market? an index? I gave up any real attempt to guess where market is going during the day. You won't see any market indices or indicators in my setup. I don't buy market, I buy individual stocks, so they are my main concern. Some will quickly say your stocks might see the effects of change in market, yes, they might, but then I will see it.

You missed thousands of trades, because your ideas of "market" kept you away. I used to do that. Try to guess the "market" then base my actions on it; I stopped, I can't do it. Now I focus on stocks that I will trade. Of course we have to have something to talk about, so I enter games on guess the dow or S&P, but I don't have my money on that guess.

Everyone is always taking about KISS, I keep it simple by watching only stocks, I will trade and cut out noise from externals and focus on where my money is at.

Stefan,

The markets swing back and forth and are always changing. The gaps this week will give way to something else next week. Don't spend too long working on a system for "now" as it will stop working as soon as you have all the rules in place. Stay informed and try to anticipate the next wave.
