Thanks Joan! I take that as a high compliment. I'm at my best over morning coffee, it's a rapid descent thereafter. I won't argue the literary merits of Boris Pasternak as compared to Ayn Rand. All I can say to further her defense is that when The Fountainhead was made into a movie in 1949 starring Gary Cooper and Patricia Neal, (worth seeing imo) it must have gone to her head. Also, according to the Barbara Branden biography she took amphetamines daily starting in the 50's and into the 60's. I suggest her writing prior to the start of this habit was a bit more lucid.
