From what I can see--and with the ceiling down in the closet I can see a lot--it looks like the real problem is right above my closet rather than wandering elsewhere. The drain is right there and the shower itself is over another apartment, next door to me. I've already warned the neighbor to keep a sharp eye out and start to yell at the first sign of a problem.
