Re Globalstar data, Loral and Craig McCaw and Bill Gates:

<$ill Gates, in his Windows CE, has dropped the ball. Software bloat, A.K.A. Windows, is too power hungry and too slow. So until we can run our computers on methane, a fuel readily available with most of us, a palm computer device for data will work just fine, fit in my shirt pocket, and run on a battery charge for a month. I might even buy one soon. Oh yes, 9600bps (e.g. G*) is more than adequate for reduced data set operation.>

PS: Speaking of flights of fantasy and serious illusions, how about Q! at a high of $387.5 at one stage today? 12.6m shares traded already. The most value traded in Q! history will happen today. Is that real, or a mass illusion? Many people seem to be happily delirious. Even if they sell and 'take the profits' are they holding just another illusion in $$s? Enjoy your dreams - sometimes they come true. Q! sure has in a real enough kind of way for me.

I suppose real would occur when the Q or $ are converted to a real object such as a house, boat, dinner, plane or plane ride - or maybe a WWeb experience is real too, such as a 3D trip via WWeb to the top of Mount Everest instead of a plane ride.
