OJ I agree next Tuesday will be an event.. I can't help but feel though that a .25 rate increase is already priced in. If they don't touch it then we'll fly. If they increase more .25 we're going down ..but only for a few weeks..As for intermediate moves. I also expect some selling near the end today hey it's Friday.:) N.C.

Jerry.. its important you see the newsletter from August.. can you determine which of the buy triggers today (to be substantiated with more candidates mid-week) had their basis in Point & Figure analysis? A few stocks in this newsletters were intermediate holds almost until today. Was there anything in their charts, or their activity after earnings that corroborated their choice for intermediate trade and/or swing trade of 1-5 days?

Long John is doing an entire lengthy statistical study on the buy triggers and sell triggers for intermediate holds. Between all this analysis, we are really onto something.

I'm also compiling daytrading strategies for trading stocks that give 8% plus a day.. Some of these have to be sold because the exhaustion of the trend coincides with the earnings report (reaches a 52 way high) or some 'news' like a contract with MSFT or some such leader. Stocks that move quickly on news should be sold just as quickly. SBAC had a very nice intraday trading range but it was too much to endanger holding overnight, but stocks like VSH, NICE, ELNT, UNFY, were easily held longer. What distinguishes these stocks? Mostly its volume, supply/demand, historical volatility breakouts, etc.
I'm also having separate analysis on 'anticipatory upswing' for IPO's.. which would account for the almost measured to the minute breakout of CYSV on Wednesday, GOTO and FFIV..

The next day after picking up SBAC near the close. There is no need to hold a stocks that goes from 13.135 to a high of 17.75.. It will very probably sell off as traders and even investors waited for the opportunity to realize that much profit.
