Slider, you loading the boat with cheap calls on MDR? This puppy may soar like Qualcom....well, maybe not. You can buy the May 10's for less than 2. I paid 2 yesterday for the May 17.5's. :(

What a show MDR is giving us!

"Damn; maybe MDR leaked Russian nuclear waste all over the globe and just-
hasn't announced it yet ?"

Slider, I can't stop laughing. <g>...

I'm in this do too. Actually, I thought about tax selling. I'm in the 39% tax bracket. I quess this would save me 39% on my loss. But, I don't want to give it away.

DLJ said on MDR early this morning----Introducing Calandar2000 eps estimate of 1.67 increasing to 2.25 calandarized for 2001--$24 price target --At $13.56 (Thurs close),on a comparable basis to GLBL,MDR is now discounting over $1Bln of liabilities (on asbestos)--(psst! think of it now!)--We are lowering ratings BECAUSE it is now an "asbestos recovery play" and while we believe that the total liability is unlikely to exceed $1bln, we do not have enough data OR EXPERTISE to have an informed opinion. -----(and now we wait for the potential Barrons' story over the weekend--will we see 5 on Monday or 10?---one of the troubles here in my view is that for strategic reasons Management now will say nothing at all about the asbestos situation until there is either a texaco type filing of BW in early 2000 or a successfull resolution. If they come out and say "vast overreaction, the asbestos claiments' lawyers raise their demands even more. So, the best way to get a sensible settlement is to have all the blood in the streets and the stock in the toilet and fear ruling wall street on the stock. Also few brokers will want to plug it because of the unknown).Fun eh?
