Paul, <What no one has commented on is the fact that AMD's FLASH business WAS profitable last quarter, and will be hugely profitable this quarter - yet AMD is predicting only "BREAK EVEN" for the quarter.> Wasn't this one of Atiq Raza's favorite quotes: "Profits are a good deodorant, but we stink"? Then after Atiq got the boot, even Jerry was repeating the same thing Atiq was saying. I think AMD just found their Right Guard, and it is Flash. With their joint venture with Fujitsu, AMD is poised to do very well in the upcoming Flash explosion. Then they can siphon off profits from Flash to fund their "core business," microprocessors. Didn't Jerry say that Flash alone was enough to justify AMD's market cap? Doesn't that beg the question of why AMD's MPU business isn't contributing anything to the market cap? Tenchusatsu
