You are correct and I hope Luc can take a little teasing. I have a psychological problem. I tend to have good entries and lousy exits on short positions. Rather than take profits, I decide to hold on for the BK and watch my profits evaporate. I think valuations are ridiculous but I have to keep telling my self , "so what", because in the end there are billions of 401K dollars every week that keep inflating this balloon. Hey, maybe thats the analogy you were looking for, someone is blowing up a ballon and you have to guess which second (or millisecond) it will pop. Five seconds early doesn't cut it and 1 second late is too late.
