Got into MDR today for the first time at 10, 9-1/16 and 8 1/2. This selling is completely irrational. The stock price is at a 12 year low, is it not? I am not even taking inflation into account. MDR is a huge company as all you know. If your are a mechanical engineer and graduating from college, it is the kind of company fro which you would want to work, for the reason that unlike in the electronics, which is dominated by electrical engineers, the road to advancement is open for mechanical engineers. MDR can easily be competitive in hiring the best mechanical engineers and they have plenty of talent. I know some of them at B&W. I look at this kind of like IBM, when it was in trouble. I met a fellow who left IBM at that time, and I asked what the future of IBM might be. He said simply that IBM has too much talent to be written off. The same reasoning applies to companies such as Ford and GM. So I will tuck these 600 shares under my pillow and come back in 3 years to see if they have returned better that a CD.<vbg> MDR is a company that actually pays dividends !!!

with my best, Seppo

Gary, I called IR at MDR. They are currently in a meeting. I was going to see if the insurrance coverage was capped. Hopefully, they will figure out some PR that will stop the freefall and turn this sucker around.
