CIBC considered the best value bank stock by many analysts at this time. The investment reporter, a stock mailing I get list CIBC as a key stock. The dividend yield is the highest of the banks, and the bank started cost cutting program several months ago. I am sure the longer term holders of this stock are disappointed by its performance compared to the other banks over the past several years, but it appears as though CIBC may have its day yet.
You may reconsider selling it just yet, I just bought it several weeks ago at $30 and plan to sit tight for a while. My thought would be to sell if I see a better opportunity, but right now CIBC seems safe (dividend yield) with some reasonable upside potential (ie I don't think inflation or interests rates are going up).
Good luck.
