(Nasdaq:PCMS - news) announced today the release of the M400 Broadband Spread Spectrum radio. The M400 expands the already extensive capabilities of P-Com's existing Spread Spectrum product line and solidifies P-Com's position as a leading supplier of wireless radio technology to the worldwide marketplace. P-Com's M400 radio is a point-to-point access system that enables wireless broadband operators to offer secure and reliable delivery of multimedia services including voice, data, fast Internet access and video services. The M400 uses digital spread spectrum technology and state-of-the-art 16-QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulation to provide up to four ports of T1 or E1 in the unlicensed 2.4 GHz and 5.7 GHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band. The M400 radio consists of a Radio Outdoor Unit and a Modem Indoor Unit, that is able to deliver a higher grade of service over greater distances.
