It is inconceivable that Att would bad mouth ATHM publicly not even for that kind of comparison posturing.

We may not know something ATT and ATHM know. Att to publicly critize Athm is very unsettling.

ahhaha,

> It is inconceivable that Att would bad mouth ATHM publicly not even for that kind of comparison posturing. It may not hurt materially, but how >much of our society is built on appearances? What kind of impression are they trying to make on us?

The alternative is that either:

1. ATT planned to make that statement and knew exactly what they were doing.
2. This is another case of an ATT executive bad mouthing ATHM to the public which would lead me to ask...What kind of operation is ATT leading that they can't speak with one voice? Is Armstrong in control of his company?

Option 1 confuses me. I know you are of the opinion that T is gonna pull the rug but I haven't been convinced of that.

Option 2 pisses me off.

>Jermo must make a statement about this immediately without stepping on anyone's toes. He should just say, "we haven't experienced any >significant problems so I don't what prompted these officials to say what they did." Then he should shut up, walk away, and not answer any >questions. If he doesn't respond, he is accepting their assessment.

I agree fully. No response reinforces the perception that ATHM agrees with T whatever they say.
