I did read a bit of later Whitehead, and found him charming but rather lightweight.....I would be happy to know why we should attribute such significance to mathematical logic. As it struck me, it was just another version of Leibniz's fantasy of reducing all propositions to a matter of simple terms and calculative processes. No one even pays much attention in the sciences, where is it productive?

ROFL, Joan. How did the sour Schopenhauer and the dour Kierkegaard get lost in this grouping?

(Pst, there's a rumor that Kierkegaard was happy for a day but recovered.)
