RioPort will use Magex's DRM services to provide consumers with access to secured content in MP3 and other formats through the RioPort.com digital audio site and RioPort Audio Manager playback software. RioPort has constructed its RioPort platform using an open architecture that provides copyright holders with a secure environment for selling and distributing digital audio content in the format of their choice, including MP3, Windows Media Format and other popular formats. RioPort, in conjunction with Magex, will allow consumers to purchase secured audio content from the RioPort.com site, www.rioport.com, via electronic wallets provided by Magex, which acts as the clearinghouse for payments.
