Autumn,
Beautifully said! Bravo!
Taking responsibility of one's actions is the name of the game and it doesn't matter whether your trading or just living your life.

Well said Autumn~

There is a multitude of knowledgeable and excellent traders who post here, and there are many ideas to DD for the buy and hold type investor as well. I am actually in the process of SEPARATING my account into an investment account and a trading account. My short term hold strategy has been very profitable, but also very tiring!

CNQR has been touted since the initial drop (not long to wait for a triple!) We all bought PPRO, AGIL, etc. as IPOs. There's a lot of good ideas here, and oftentimes people don't like to post their sells as I personally feel it is inappropriate ... Like you said, most of the people here are able to pick their own exit points. I personally have been spooked out of a stock because someone was posting that it was overvalued, only to watch it go up quite a bit more. (Learned my lesson on that one). We all have different time frames and targets in mind. Though it would be nice, I simply haven't been able to time daily tops and bottoms on every stock in my portfolio!

Yes, this thread is great for the experienced traders, but also a wonderful place for others to learn. If someone has a question but is afraid to ask, I can assure you that just about everyone on this thread would be gracious and happy to answer a PM.

Kind of a weird day today ... wish I had done more buying this morning, but I honestly thought the market would be bad all day and into Monday.

Have a great weekend everybody,
Jean

Autumn,

Excellent post!!

<<<It would be doing yourself a big favor......and you can start personally taking l00%
responsibility right there for the first time and start getting used to it.>>>

Absolutely correct!!!

You must be buying for a reason, to make money of course.
Cut your losses when your stock heads south.
And very important-- Use a good trading system as RT3.
ECN trading is very important in the fast moving mkt.

No need to have a discount broker that you cannot get a execution with.

About the Rating of thread, how bout

Good post Henry.

To summarize, I will include # 6 & 7 of a list of some 30 or so Jessie's Maxims, that I keep handy as a remainder:

6) Nobody can give me a tip or a series of tips that will make more money for me than my own judgement.

7) A loss never bothers me after I take it I usually forget it overnight. But being wrong, NOT TAKING THE LOSS, that is what does the damage to the pocket-book and to the soul.

Good luck to all.

Bernard
