At 5:30 PM today I wrote - - ""I wrote back last week on Thursday, Nov 4, the following: "Glad to see LU pick up 2 3/16 today. I believe this stock should be fairly at around 71 to 72 bucks a share at this time. The fluke run-up to 79 3/4 back on July 16 was just that and it brought about such a sell-off that the avalanche couldn't be stopped for three months. Maybe by the end of next week LUCENT will close at around 72.""

My comment on that post at 5:30 PM today was "Glad to see that I was off by 1 1/2...73 1/4 is probably just about where it should be at the moment. Maybe by next Friday we'll be at 75 or 76"

Well, I just got back from babysitting my granddaughter and logged on to see that LUCENT in after hours trading dropped to 72 1/2 so I wasn't really that far off from my prediction a week ago Thursday that LUCENT would end this week at around 72.

I just hope that I don't see this stock reacting like it did back in July when it hit its peak of 79 3/4 (closing that day at 78 7/16) and then falling for the next six trading days back to a closing of 64 15/16, a drop of 17.2% and then sliding for several more weeks. I sure don't want to sit through that scenario again.

My son-in-law got out of LU today after his investment rose roughly 20% from the 57 he got in at just a few weeks ago.

Me, I'm long.
