Seventeen employment openings are listed on generalmagic.com today. That's a lot for a company with 120 - 150 head-count (correct me on this?) that until November 10 had not updated the help-wanted page since August. Only five are sales/marketing, twelve are engineering. Read the ads for clues to their business plan. I conclude IMHO: (1) They are baking something there in addition to the GM order. (2) They expect to be here next year at this time - engineers yield results eight months to a year down the road. (3) They still think they are a baby Lucent (very technical)and that's OK with me.
