I'm using Schwab. Used E*Trade Canada (Versus) for about six months, but executions and big errors in my accounts (like stock I'd bought wouldn't be there to sell the next day...or the next day, commission errors, someone else's stock ended up in my account) drove me away. Schwab has been very good, including fast executions and fast phone access to brokers. Only problem is they claim they can't put in stop loss orders on the NAS, only the TSE, which I don't like.

I highly rec them for service and speed.

Josher61, this is OT but when I realized you were from Canada and I read your post about DD I thought maybe you might like to try out a Canadian based website called the Intelligent Speculator. It is free.
It is full of good information on Technical Analysis, reading charts, book lists, etc. Try 'em. I think you might like them.
Combine Kimberly's thread with TA and your own DD and you will find yourself gambling less and enjoying trading more!
