HB, I have gone through a few periods of tough love before. Boy, the last 2 1/2 weeks have given me a sense that I haven't even imagined in my wildest dreams. As of yesterday I thought SCH was under control and I was even considering flipping my puts for calls as I have been witnessing monster volume on DUNG. Today's rally caught me by surprise and I have had no time to react at all. Scrap my earlier feelings of feeling like shit.

No doubt.

I have read about the similiarities of 29 and Japan in the
80s. South Seas. Tulips. etc etc.

But the fact remains that this market has rallied on every
and any kind of news - both good and bad. Now I realize that
that by itself defines the current mania, but what factor
could concievably stop the upward momemtum?

I could envision several scenerios that would cause a steep
sell off but frankly I believe after a few days it would be
seen as a buying opportunity. And thus the rally would
continue. This current "mania" encompasses not only the
small retail investor but the large institutions as well
and is perpetuated by the media and WS pimps and spin
meisters (frankly there is more spin in WS then in the
White House).

It would take a series of events setting off a kind of
domino effect to really shake inveestor confidence (greed).

And I'll be damned if I can see what those events could
possibly be. It sure wont start with next weeks FOMC
meeting.
