Newbridge growth 40% in a year by year base is Euro-centric. In the US -said to be the El Dorado for datacoms-
growth is flat.

The best for Newbridge would be for a "Gang of Three": Siemens, ALA and ERICY, buy Newbridge and use it to
supply its datacoms needs. Siemens/Newbridge Alliance does this already today.

Picture these sales channels form the Gang of Three selling Newbridge stuff. ERICY mobile machine, ALA strength
in access and Siemens in everything. It would be unbeatable.

Imagine ALA and ERICY that are already partners with Juniper buying Juniper outright and merged with Newbrdge
to give it IP capabilities?

Along these lines Newbridge values should be considered.

Hello Steve,

Are old DSC folks welcome here?

I'm still holding the ALA shares which were exchanged for DIGI a year or so ago. They finally have some life.

I have not followed the discussion since September 12 1998, choosing to just put my head in the sand and go about my business.

At least I have a French name and speak the language. I'll be reading and chipping in from time to time.

Regards,
