I've never lived in Kansas -- but once I debated two guys from Harvard and teased them with the KU Jayhawker song because they were both from Kansas. I also once gave a speech at KU and had to fly in an open plane (we had to take a break to spray some fields with pesticide). I learned a vital secret on how to get a free meal anywhere in town. I thought Lawrence was wonderful and the KU campus really neat. All Kansas needs is a little work on modernizing its instruction in biology and it (along with Oklahoma and Florida) would be ready to enter the 20th century <g>
