Right you are, Bill. But we like instant gratification. Still have been very happy with the way COMS has performed. Rode it from 21 to 28, then months later 28 to 34+++ and am not selling. Just wish I had bought more. PE of 28 pretty low still esp. if you compare it to CISCO (ha!) or NOK (ha ha!) or LU (ho ho!) which I love to do. Who knows, COMS might even become a Wall Street darling soon.

If there is a buyout, I wish it were structured so that the Palm is still spun off to the existing 3Com shareholders, and only the remaining networking piece goes to the buyer. This will reduce considerably the buyout price, and at the same time enhance shareholder value. I can't say if such an arrangement is possible. Any M&A experts around that can shed some light on this?
