I am concerned about how much PPRO is promoting itself. I agree about CMRC, but I do not need to catch all of these.

I just gave 1/3 of my portfolio to a professional money manager (at Salomon Smith Barney), who put me into a mix of large cap and overseas. I have 1/3 in companies which are not publicly traded, and the final third is my fun stuff: tech stocks.

Of the fun 1/3 my goal is to have about half in mutual funds (TIFQX--up 22% in one month for me--and the Ryan Jacobs Internet Fund, when it launches) and half in equities. Of these equities, I have wonderful positions in VRTS, VERT, EPNY, and small investments in DSCM and MSO.

FWIW, Smith Barneys thinks the long bond is going under 5% in the next year or two. Their bond model has been so accurate in the past few years that it is scary. I think these tech stocks have a long way to go.
