Hi Pam - A prototype of a player was recently demonstrated at the EDIG shareholder meeting and again when Fred Falk presented to JUSTRI. I believe that the technology for these players is done. What needs to get done is the work on standards (SDMI) and then content needs to be made available by the labels. That's my understanding. Also, I got the distinct feeling from the shareholder meeting (I listened to the replay) that the timing of any product release is subject to the schedules of their partners (Intel, for example).

The Portable Audio Program Manager at Creative Labs thinks there will be an EPAC player on the market in the first quarter of 2000.
