V, I loved it -- you, sir, are indeed a 'wordsmith'!

Would you consider helping me with the rewrite of my 'yet unpublished' book?

Re. GENTLEMEN, ...

With comments like this, you are unfortunately showing your vintage....it surely is not a 1901 Chateau Lafie.

In my travels through cyber space, lurking on threads for here to there, I have found off topic post with the subject being QCOM on almost on all of the threads. While these posters do not make a shoe shine boy type top, they account for a stock that is on the lips of the population that have their shoes shined. Now lets do a comparison with DELL, IOM, and Us Robotics, the last darlings of the market. I remember you on the DELL thread, days gone past, going toe to toe with the glee club as you called my fellow dellheads. By the time you showed up, the thread had a club house attached to it as did US Robotics. There was already core group, going to share holder meetings, planning vacation around it, and having regional get togethers. The same happen with IOM, the first cyber stock phenomena. The Iomagans even went so far to book a curse ship. Let's get back to DELL. Dell peaked in Feb., a near doubled from Nov. of last year. It was a classic top with a couple of high vol. days of little to no price movement, then falling off a cliff. The same thing happen to IOM, massive appreciation, a few high vol. days no price increase, and then dive, dive, IOM sank like curse ship that had been torpedoed. But there is a big difference between a IOM, DELL and QCOM. What I have been doing is comparing charts and thread tone and evolution of a thread, (thread tone is a my term for how a thread has a certain quality, and type of posters). In the beginning the best time to buy a stock is when the thread is populated by technical types. A thread evolves to where near the end, and bulk of the big gains have been had, posters cease to talk about the technical aspects of the company, or there is a lot of newbies asking questions about the technology. The difference between IOM, DELL and QCOM is, at the top of IOM and DELL's run, there was news to go along with it, a catalyst if you will. We do not have that yet with QCOM. We still have many promising events to add support, and to cause the stock to move forward, so much so, that in my mind I have set a target of 150 Bil market cap for QCOM. What we do have is a chart and a tread tone that are very similar to IOM, DELL, and US Robotics at their tops. So for the above reasons I have called a Short Term Top, NOT THE TOP.
