Are you saying you would bail out of your holdings if the market does its usual knee jerk reaction up or down late Tuesday afternoon following the decision?

Don't forget with global economies improving there will be immense spending growth for technology. Playing a short term in and out can wreck long term gains if not timed perfectly. I've been at it for a number of years and held right through plenty of interest rate hikes as well as cuts. No worries about timing and I've done quite well. I'm one of those that can honestly say I fit the 'wealthy' category. I don't say that to boast, but to illustrate that real wealth can be obtained by holding on to your basket of great stocks that come from the G&K thread and whatever else you hold. Yes, the Internets and financials will take a short term hit if the FED raises rates. With our luck, they'll probably take a hit if they don't raise rates. What's a long term investor to do who is concerned with accumulation wealth? Nothing. Timing the sale and then the repurchase is just too complicated.
