As Canadians, can we write off the commissions

If you are a non-professional trader the only thing you can write off is commissions. In the capital gains form you get from your broker they should have already deducted the commissions from your gains. This is a great thing since I am already well over $20K in commissions for this year.

yes...commissions are a portion of the ACB and disposition cost. They are part of the capital gain calculation
