9. $$$ MICHAEL SAYS DELL ON TRACK FOR HEALTHY GROWTH

DELL COMPUTER remains on track for "healthy growth" in the 4Q, with strength in small business and consumer personal computer sales set to offset any spending weakness in corporate PCs tied to Year 2000 repair, its chairman and CEO said. Michael Dell said that Year 2000 computer
repair work "doesn't seem to be having as much an impact" as the company had expected six months or a year ago. "We expect that the fourth quarter
is going to be a healthy one," Dell said, referring to the company's fiscal 4Q ending in January 2000.

For the Quarter revenue growth was at 41%. Margins slipped a bit but Enterprise business grew 70%-plus! The website now doing $35 million a day! And Dell took the lead over Compaq in the U.S.

COMMENT: Dell is just beginning to scratch the surface of how to sell even more of the 120 million computers expected to be sold next year..

10. $$$ DELL COMPUTER TO SUPPLY FIRST UNION

DELL COMPUTER (DELL) has signed a contract worth up to $100 million to be the exclusive supplier of personal computers to First Union Corp., the nation's No. 6 largest bank, the latest in a string of such corporate contracts for Dell. The three-year deal calls for Dell to replace First
Union's 65,000 computers with a standard set of Dell's desktop and notebook computers.

COMMENT: We have a bet with one of our readers. He says that Apple will outshine Dell in the next two months. We have a surprise for him.
Apple was downgraded by Salomon Smith Barney today and Dell signs a deal for 65,000 computers. How about them apples, pardner!
