Trying to decide if this is because you think it wouldn't have any effect on her, or kill her.

I hope you bothered the nurses.

This could be bad when she gets home for a while. You might think about some homecare help to give you a respite.

If we don't hear from jp by Monday, I'll call and get a report. What does she think we are-- unembodied cyberfriends or something?

I firmly agree with penni that you should look into home care for at least the first couple of weeks when she is back home. I've just been through the nursing stint, as you know, and it can wear you out, physically and mentally--especially when you have so much else to do.
