Thanks for your response. I actually am in the process of doing that right now. Working through a book called "The disciplined trader" which I've read before but obviously didn't quite "get". It seems you're suggesting I do nothing till I know myself for sure. Thought about it several times...but somehow, whatever learning has happened has been while doing. One of my reasons for posting here is to hear other's experiences...it sounds as though you "know yourself" enough to feel comfortable trading. Did you learn by experience or some other way?

Do other people still make the same mistakes I do even after they've examined their motivation and developed their strategy?

I have been examining my fear/greed motivation and all sorts of peripheral stuff... and am amazed that I'm still in the game at all. The interest is still there. Is playing the game in itself a factor also? Does this make sense to anyone? I've been watching the markets so closely, without really understanding much, that I can almost feel in my body when a shift is about to occur...but mostly i do nothing. Probably fear is in the ascendency.
Anyway, thanks again.

A valid point...WE are our own worst enemy when it comes to trading (and life...for that matter)
