Amy - Re: "I'm too busy to watch stock quotes at work, plus a lot of times I'm on the road, so, an equation could efficiently trigger a useful interrupt (email to my cellular) only a few times a year (at the right times). Suggestions anyone?"

Here's an OLD FASHIONED suggestion - get a GOOD full service broker and let her/him know exactly what you are interested in, and what parameters you follow and what and when to ALERT you.

Then give him/her your phone number and e-mail address.

Paul

Go with a broker that has wireless access such as Fidelity or Siebert, and I'm sure there must be others.

As an example, what Fidelity offers go to fidelity.com
A changing menu on the right side of the web page will eventually say wireless trading. Click on it.

Also, be sure to check out the Virtual Office section of this week's Barron's (15 Nov 99). Article on pp. V12-13 entitled Trading Across The Airwaves lists the wireless services available and comparisons.
