CPQ has unveiled new internet only machine, called the IPAQ .

The iPaq is more than just an internet machine. It is a pc with no slots for add in cards. I think the only card most people add to their business machines is a NIC. This one has one built in. Just plug it into the network and you are ready to go. The only restrictions I see with these machines are:
If you need a modem, you will have to buy an external USB modem. If you want a CDROM or DVD, it is extra. If you want a tape backup, you will have to find a USB device. If you want to upgrade the graphics controller you are out of luck. But these things are cheap. After a couple of years just remove the hard drive, through away the machine and replace it with a new one.
