BRYO--first boston comments on Friday

<<
Brio Technology (BRYO-$39 1/16-$1.1B Cap-BUY) first boston
Wendell Laidley, 415-836-7716

Highlights From Meeting with Management
FY00E $0.26, FY01E $0.43
* We had a bullish meeting with most of the senior management team on Monday.
* While December is considered a "transport" quarter, Company is tracking to our
estimates of $33.4 million and $0.07.
* We believe March quarter still represents the inflection quarter, as the pump
gets primed now for anticipated top line acceleration.
* Brio-Sqribe sales force integration running ahead of plan; effective 10/1 all
people selling all products, easier for Sqribe sales force to sell Brio products
than vice versa
* March quarter will involve release of significant new products that will open
up B2B/B2C market and will should include referenceable customers in production
* Analytical applications (for high-tech revenue optimization) selling very well
- $500K ASPs much larger than average, expect 2-4 new customers this quarter
* Street is starting to recognize BRYO's leverage in the Internet marketplace
(enterprise portal, business intelligence, analytical apps., etc.)
* We expect BRYO's valuation will trade up to be more in-line with closest
comparables - EPNY, INFA, ACTU, etc. Reiterate BUY rating.

SF: you are correct 99.9999%. When will we be on board your 300 feet long yatch:
<<<Meduse has its own Web site that boasts about the boat's 200-foot length, its recording studio and its helicopter that can seat eight (www.meduse.com). The Microsoft Internet Explorer advertisement at the bottom of the boat's home page hints at the common industry knowledge that the owner is Paul G. Allen, co-founder of Microsoft. (For that matter, www.mylimitless.com carries neither clothing advertisements nor a mention of Wexner, but it does include figures like 22,000, the boat's horsepower.) >>>>
