Assuming this were true, where does that leave the mobo and RIMM makers? And why couldn't IBM, DELL and Compaq use their purchasing clout to assure availability of RIMM's? Perhaps the box makers actually prefer bundled mobo's to leave quality assurance issues with Intel? (But that also raises the question of future memory upgrades). Hopefully the questions will be answered next week.
