Earnings aren't the point with AMMB. Losses are all writedowns, last quarter's was a non-cash write down. Even in a liquidation, company is worth far more than the 1 13/16 it closed out.

As of last Q, they have 1.88 in cash and tangible book of over $5. Stock has slid over worries on whether pending deal with Lend Lease will happen. Until that is done, could see further weakness.

Some have compared this to First Plus, others to Mercury Finance. I think neither applies. But it could take time. At low enough levels, previous suitors will come a courting again.

to create a co-branded web site allowing both business customers and
consumers to purchase a vast selection of computers and
technology-related products. Computers and technology-related products

category of online purchases.

According to the terms of the agreement, the monies will be paid to
Lycos over a three-year period. The companies have agreed to share
revenue from sales and advertising generated from the co-branded site.
The site will provide users access to more than 60,000 hardware
products, 100,000 software products, 25,000 office products and
thousands of consumer electronic products. Virtual Technology Corp.
(VTC) built their reputation by providing real value-added services,
including free shipping, a thirty-day guarantee and on-site service.
VTC and Lycos will market the products to the Lycos Network's 30
million monthly visitors. VTC is committed to building lasting customer
relationships and will participate in Lycos Rewards, the
recently-announced loyalty program that rewards users for shopping both
online and offline.
