Tomato, I think - now that I've seen the improvement with
96MB - that even 64MB is marginal. I base that on the 'feel'
when I have 2-3 browser windows and an e-mail program open.
And, Norton Utilities actually lets me measure resources.
With 32MB, 'mem load' was always 100%. Now it is about 78%.

With too little memory stuff that SHOULD be in memory is
probably stored in virtual memory, on disk. I'm out of my
depth here and hope others can explain it better.

Memory enhancing software doesn't work so I can feel it,
based on my experience with memturbo. I liken it to gas
additives.

Upgrade to 96MB, at least, and you'll wonder why you didn't do so a long time ago. :)

I simply asked the people at my computer store to sell
me RAM that would fit in my e-Machine. I installed it
myself. It is easy. Just make sure you're grounded.
