Don't know what it's like in California, but I never see Karman Ghias around here. Restored Beetles, lots of them. I used to drive Volkswagens, I had several Beetles, a fastback, and a microbus. I was too cool to drive an American car, until my father gave me one, and I realized what I had been missing in terms of reliability. But Karman Ghias were the worst. Everyone I knew who had one had a terrible time, they were notoriously unreliable. Speaking of which, I want to sell my Rover and buy something that gets better mileage. Only problem, the boys are very tall, so it will need good passenger legroom. Open to suggestions.
