On Lu Xun. Actually, a few things ARE available through Amazon.com. I thank "poet" for jogging my memory on this one: I've never read anything by Lu Xun, and I really should.

And Neo, almost a fifth of the world's population lives in China. Anyone who almost single-handedly modernized the country's literary language cannot be considered "obscure," even if he is not known in this country. How many of China's almost billion and a half people have heard of G. K. Chesterton & C. S Lewis? Or any of the other writers we have cited (with the possible exception of Hemingway)?
