Since the last two excellent posts were about the financial outlook and merchandising for Emerson, this tigress is cruising (slowly but surely) on the wave to Emerson island :) Thanks for the good stuff! BTW, In todays Yahoo Market Guide, they're two more institutions that have joined our little group as of:9-30-99 ING Investment Mgt LLC with 33,876 shares Sena Weller Rohn Williams Inc with 20,000 shares A relaxed weekend to all, especially Columbo whose DD is extraordinary! tigress

TO MARILYN AND CHUCK For openers let me say that i'm still holding over 100,000 shares and I am not a pessimist. As a matter of fact I am just the opposite.my birthday is the end of November,the archer sign,and always the optimist, but I also am a practical person and I say what I think when it comes to business discussions.I feel very positive about the outcome of Emerson's ventures but I don't fully trust the present leadership because of what is going on at GYM.The hardest part is yet to come and that is selling these 5 million pieces.I feel there will be other announcements in regard to the Daewoo deal to explain why they made this press release.I don't put this in the category of a deal for 400,000,000 dollars.All it is so far is that Emerson gave Daewoo 400 million in business.I think that if they had the sales in their pocket,Emerson would have made it known along with the press release and that would make the stock appreciate for sure.Now Daewoo has contacts I believe with BEST BUY==CIRCUIT CITY==AND MAYBE EVEN K=MART AND BRADLEES.If they come into the pticture then the inventory will go fast,and if not it will be an uphill climbThe sales force has to operate with full gear to make it all come out right.The addition of the web site sales will certainly help. There were 3 Internet Domains added over the weekend{whatever that really means] Club Emerson.com==Shop Scott.com==and Shop Emerson.com.I can't access any of them.They may be combined with the site that is selling their products. Chuck======Your math is good but the 60 million profit I believe is not realistic.If that were true the stock would go to 20 with no trouble.I just bought a 4 head Emerson VCR FOR 79.95, and the current prices of VCR'S is not much higher than that in my neck of the woods.Now we have DVD'S entering the picture and the stores now stock 15 to 25 % of those with more on the way from what I hear. VCR'S have to add some features to what is available at this point or the sales of them will fall off.At the moment the DVD market is somewhat expensive but time will take care of that. I have over 100,000 reasons for hoping the 5 million pieces are in the pocket and Marilyn,I hope you are right about the advance orders.As Tigress would say, Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Emerson===========TONY ROME
