the dell is still sitting in its carton. i am in the process of preparing one of my machines for sale to a friend... removing files, deleting junk, installing some software, changing passwords, etc. then i'll disconnect everything and box it up and go to her house to set it all up for her. i need to get that done so i can move my current machine into the space that the 'sold' one is occupying, then set up my new pc where my current one sits. lol! clear as mud? suffice it to say i have some preparatory steps to take before i get to play with the new.

i am very high about the new dell, but i must stay earthed until i get these 'chores' completed.

:)

Thanks and thanks to bluejeans, too. How does one make sure the memory is "earthed"? I'm so mechanically challenged that I'll probably have whatever computer place I go to install it. Or is it so easy to do that even a moron couldn't louse it up? ;-)
