Babcock & Wilcox Is Only Playable Through MDR Bill: I understood your (gentle) hint, but I don't necessarily agree with your suggestion. Until Babcock & Wilcox either trades independently of MDR (or goes Chapter 11), this subsidiary-level value play can only be played through the corporate parent, McDermott (MDR). Since McDermott is still a major player in the oil field services industry, despite your protests <vbg>, I assume that people on this thread might have an interest in discussion about factors that may impact MDR. If you disagree or you think MDR's recent meltdown is irrelevant to this thread, then please use the "Next" button or put me on "Ignore". Your humble servant, ;-) Razor

For the Strictly: Drilling Asbestos, Weather and maybe oil field services thread: According to my data, which cannot be confirmed until I hear from some experts in this field, the North Atlantic Oscillation has turned strongly positive. This is not fatal to a hard winter in North America, there is a normal swing between negative and positive but another week or so should show us if the trend is our friend. We just came off of at least a week of negative readings, which is snow lovers and OSX lovers friend. If NAO were a stock indicator rather than a weather phenomena, it would be two weeks to two months forward looking, though it would have to be classed for now as experimental. You can put me on ignore, but not if you still listen to the weather, they are wrong at least half the time on the 5 to 9 day forecasts, heh heh. VBG Roebear
