Jed 4 Prez-0-Dent right Blue i play 4 OUR Team! Why no EXPE Expedia "spinoff" shares showed up in MY account with a $14 basis this week coming from MSFT, YO GATES HOWCOME? Read some drivel here & there sumpin about they couldn't figure out a true value for it yet and might issue shares in the future to holders, P.U!! "Ain't Too Proud To Beg", but don't recall hearing Why (as a part of the whole) slices/shares of MY Microsoft Stock weren't given out to ME as a Shareowner. Didn't see much fanfare B4 Expedia Day either... One Day There It Was. All i've seen is the drop in the share price of Microsoft ... and not just from Court Shenanigans either. Didn't get any Invitation from The Wizard Of Oz to buy EXPE ipo shares at a nice price either... (priced @ 14, then it went up to 58 now it's at 52). So MSFT breaks off a piece, does The Brrrrrr ShiverShiver Thing they're so afraid the gummint's gonna make 'em do with the whole thing, their shareholders get behind 'em with support from all corners .... then Softy does THIS SCROOGERLY THING like sayin' "Thank You For Your Money And Your Time, Maybe we'll throw some crumbs your way down the yellow brick road apiece but for now Let's Give Others A Chance to invest in A Microsoft Division" Bleeeeech. "Market took the value out before the ipo, not on issue day because it wasn't that kind of spinoff". What's the difference? Its Down, Foooey! That's right Mr. Gates i said SCROOGE!!! If The Shoe Fits Wear It.
Mr. Wetherell's Another One... CMGI share price has lagged since a statement was made awhile back that shareowners were about to have a chance to get in on ipo's thru The Co. in the future .... hasn't happened yet, still waiting, so are many of 'em and they're starting to watch other VC's that are going up better than CMGI's done....
And Oh (don't git me startid on) GE.... YO WELCH what ever happened to that iNBC INTERNET ISSUE from GE? Whose datdere CNBC and CNBC.com really owned by at this point anyway, aside from GE, i fergit!? I don't recall seeing as much of a return on that issue as i would have if I'd been given some shares in it either... but at least the GE share price didn't fall like MSFT's did. High Time You Spawn For The Milennium Before Moving Over, SCROOGE (yep U2 JACK).
So GNET will get a Chance to Be A Real Leader in the future, no doubt, doing Acquisitions at the rate they've been doing 'em. Good Acquisitions Too. If GNET spins off, especially by issuing ipos on it's holdings to the market without a giveout to the shareowners (lets hope they never do that), they well better REMEMBER The Many Git-Go Investors Like Blue who helped 'em get to that point, even more so than me who came in later! And hope they realize Shareholders are Liking being left out less & less, especially when no respectful explanation of a reason of why whatever decision was made would be more to the Shareholders benefit than an actual issue of shares would be.
I don't recall seeing a suitable explanation of such in either the case of GE or MSFT; still waiting for CMGI to make good on what they said they were going to start doing.
Backing U & OUR TEAM Up 100% Blue.

Joan
