No, I do not know what an "O" sign is.
I don't know what the drug companies are doing these days, but the old days involved trips, gifts, meals, etc.

levy, Good point on the drug companies. It should also be pointed out that the corporate reason for gifts, free dinners and perks is for the day that the doctor may make the call on what drug, service or equipment gets bought by the hospital.
Drug and medical companies count on the bloated egos to suck in doctors to the "family". Often telling them they are an expert in something and so important that the company would like them to go to Hawaii on the company's dime and give a talk. Free hotel, car, dinners, perks, etc. For what? For money down the road, a vote.
Few people go to talks by unknown doctors. People sign up to get credits and then they go to the beach while the expert talks to an empty room in a fancy hotel. In the long run we all pay for it. Agree nobody spends it like the drug companies.
